Chef Bryant Alvarado joined Cocktail Affairs as Executive Chef in September 2011. Chef Bryant is known for his modern French cuisine with seasonal influences which is represented in each and every dish. Chef Bryant’s love for great food started from a very early age. Chef Bryant recalls: “as far as my mind can remember, I’ve had a fascination with exotic flavors and just a pure love for food”. This love and appreciation for quality ingredients guides Chef Bryant in his seasonally inspired menus and his overall cuisine.

After attending The Art Institute in Santa Monica-Los Angeles, Chef Bryant worked his way up in some of Los Angeles’ and Orange counties’ most prestigious kitchens. Most recently, Chef Bryant was the Sous Chef for The Loft Restaurant at The Montage Resort and Spa in Laguna Beach, California, a 5 star, 5 diamond destination resort. During his tenure at The Loft, he was responsible for menu design, development and the day to day operations. Along with his award winning team, the restaurant garnered numerous accolades including; Top 50 Hotel Restaurants in the U.S. and rave reviews with Gayot and local food critics.

From 2004-2008, Chef Bryant held a variety of culinary positions, including Garde Manager at The Four Seasons in Newport Beach, California with Chef Michel Pieton and The Island Hotel in Newport Beach, California with Chef Bill Bracken. Chef Bryant worked and studied intensely under Michelin 1 star chef and Iron Chef Participant Chef Christophe Eme of Ortolan restaurant in West Los Angeles. His time at Ortolan helped to define Chef Bryant’s emphasis on simplicity, clean flavors, refined French technique and a relentless pursuit of perfection with every meal, everyday

On his time off, Chef Bryant enjoys the movies and spending time with his family and friends. He currently resides in Covina, California.
